Inspired not only by my time living in Oak Park, but the many enjoyable memories I have had at farmers markets. I am pleased that so many communities are creating community gardens, or inviting local farmers to sell their goods. A great way to counter “food deserts” and for people from diverse backgrounds to enjoy a healthy outing. Diversity is so important to our culture, and I seldom see images of crowds that include the disabled or people of other faiths. We are all America!
