One of the most interesting decades of my career was working full-time for two natural history exhibit companies, painting murals, illustrations, and assisting in creating models and dioramas. After leaving full-time work for exhibit companies, I took on this freelance commission for Homer Lake Interpretive Center in Ogden Il. The background of a small diorama depicting life on the prairie.

For a. museum in Oregon, to go with their display of an Atl-atl. It’s anacronistic for the Paleo Indians pictured, but the customer is always right!

Lightning Strike Mural

This small square mural depicts lightning striking a wet sand dune melting the sand into a tube of glass known as fulgurite.

Redwood Forest Mural

A commission by a couple who wanted to brighten up their basement family room. They had loved visiting the redwood forest. It covers all of one wall and part of another.
