This series combines space, science fiction, acrylic pours and iridescent paint! Inspired by the images brought back by the Hubble and James Webb telescopes, each starts with an acrylic pour. I decide what image the pattern suggests, and use a variety of techniques and media to shade the planets, and add detail to the final appearance. Each planet is done on its own round panel and affixed to the background with a spacer to give a sense of depth. I’ve even branched into “Celestial Animals”, mostly cats!

Unless otherwise mentioned, these do not come framed. They are all available for publication, and I’ve gotten quite adept at mixing and matching planets with backgrounds in Photoshop, as well as adjusting the shape and proportion of the backgrounds depending on the publisher’s needs.
