This cover has special meaning for me. It was such an honor to have one of my paintings chosen for the cover of my favorite Golden Age author, Andre Norton.

Fortunately, I was able to meet and correspond with Andre before she died. She honored an early piece of mine by featuring it as a location in one of her books, Dare to Go A-Hunting. This is it, below:

A friend of mine, Deb Rogers, fell in love with The Vision of the Lantern, having read it in it's original language. It had never been published in English, and she obtained permission to translate and publish 200 copies,  commissioning me to do the cover. In addition to the art work, I helped design the type. As you can see, two different books used the same image. I had an excellent agent that helped English speaking artists find publishers in Europe. They would buy the 2nd rights to published work, using the  transparencies I sent them.

Another book cover printed in Europe. The image was originally made for a short story in Aboriginal Science Fiction Magazine. I never expected any of my work to end up on the cover of an anthology of Horror stories!

 Yet another European book I can't read! Wish I'd had such a good agent in my own country!
