Richard Carpenter's Robin of Sherwood may have been the best and most accurate interpretation of the Robin Hood legend ever made. I fell in love with it and was thrilled when Mr. Carpenter gave me permission to do portraits of the characters and make limited edition prints of them. Robin of Sherwood was truly mythic. I loved how it brought diverse moral themes together, as it brought the Christian and Pagan characters together, with a message crying for understanding and tolerance truly needed in our troubled age.
